Measured on the size we ship

Fit is the single largest reason people hesitate on a dress they like — cited by sixty-four per cent of US shoppers. Most size guides answer it with the height of a model. That tells you almost nothing about whether the dress will fit you.

What we publish instead

Garment measurements, taken flat, on the actual size we would ship you. For each size we list:

• Bust, waist and hip, in inches and centimetres
• Total length, measured from the highest shoulder point
• How much the fabric gives — none, moderate or high
• Whether the cut runs small, true to size, or large

How to use them

Measure a dress you already own and like the fit of, laid flat, and compare it to the numbers on the product page. That comparison is far more reliable than measuring your body, because it accounts for how you actually like a garment to sit.

Tolerance

Allow around half an inch of variation between individual garments in the same size. That is normal for cut-and-sew production and we would rather state it than pretend otherwise.

If it is between sizes

Returns are free for 30 days, and if you have an event date, tell us — a size exchange is prioritised against it.
